Rookie TreVeyon Henderson was the standout with three TDs as the Patriots claimed an eighth straight win for the first time since iconic QB Tom Brady's closing campaign with the franchise in the 2019 season
Quarterback Drake Maye threw for 281 yards and a touchdown, connecting on 25 out of 34 attempts
The triumph increases the Patriots lead at the summit of the division as they improved to nine wins and two defeats, with the Jets at the foot after slipping to two victories and eight defeats
The Jets had taken the lead at Gillette Stadium with QB Fields running in a short rushing score to finish the New York's opening drive
But the home team fought back in the second quarter as the rookie scored two seven-yard touchdowns before the running back caught a pass from Drake Maye at the back of the endzone halfway into the third quarter to make it 21 to 7
"That was a big time for him delivering, and it's been fantastic for him to keep getting these reps," the quarterback said of the rookie. "He desires to be excellent."
Fields found John Metchie late in the third period to reduce the lead for the Jets but Borregales booted a two kicks in the fourth quarter as the home side closed out the victory
