Jet Transporting US Defense Secretary Forced to Land in UK Due to Fracture in Cockpit Window

An aircraft transporting Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth was required to make an emergency landing in the Britain on Wednesday after a crack was identified in the jet's front window, according to an announcement which verified that Hegseth was safe.

"The jet touched down following standard procedures and everyone onboard, including Pete Hegseth, is safe," a press officer stated in a online announcement.

He was traveling back from a short visit to the city of Brussels at the time.

This event isn't the first occasion that a United States armed forces jet transporting a top government figure has encountered technical problems.

In a previous incident this year, a US Air Force plane ferrying Secretary of State Marco Rubio to the German city of Munich was required to return to Washington DC after suffering a mechanical problem.
