US actor Pat Finn, who appeared in popular television series like "Friends", Seinfeld and "The Middle", has passed away at 60 years old.
The comedic improv actor succumbed at his home in Los Angeles, California on Monday after undergoing cancer treatment beginning in 2022, per media reports.
"Pat Finn never met a stranger - just potential friends he had yet to meet," his loved ones shared in a announcement.
They added that he had "lived his life fully - with joy and exuberance".
A Notable TV Career
Finn's first television role was on the George Wendt Show in 1995, where he portrayed the brother of the main character.
He subsequently landed a repeating character on "Murphy Brown" from 1995 to 1997.
He appeared as Joe Mayo in "Seinfeld" in 1998, portraying a social organizer famous for delegating unpleasant chores to his guests.
In the late 1990s and early 2000s, he made guest appearances on numerous popular shows, like:

Finn was perhaps best known for portraying the character Bill Norwood in The Middle, appearing throughout eight seasons from 2011 to 2018.

Off-Screen Life
Away from his acting parts, Finn was a skilled improviser and worked as a teacher at the Colorado university, where he was a faculty member.
He was involved with a six-person improv troupe called Beer Shark Mice.
"Finn coached, befriended and mentored countless students over the years and it would be difficult to find someone anyplace who has a bad thing to say about him," his loved ones expressed.
