Series of Incidents
Since the start of the large-scale conflict in Ukraine, a series of Russian military commanders have been attacked within Moscow.
This new event comes after other high-profile incidents, such as:
- General Yaroslav Moskalik was lost his life in a vehicle explosion in Moscow earlier this year.
- General Igor Kirillov was killed in late 2024 when a device concealed on a scooter was set off from a distance.
While a source from Ukraine previously attributed Kirillov's death to Ukraine's security service, such claims are rarely publicly admitted as a matter of official stance.
The conflict has been marked by clandestine operations reaching into the streets of the Russian capital.
The examination into General Sarvarov's death remains ongoing.
